About This Project

CMA School

Location – Gujarat, India
Building Type – Sports Facility
Built Up Area – 20,000 ft²
Status – Ongoing

Located in the Sports Campus of a 30 years old school in suburban Gujarat, This covered swimming pool is a means to upgrade the sports facility in the campus. The Building is a Stack of 3 Glass Blocks seemingly Airdropped from the sky that incidentally form a Lapping sculpture an artistic embodiment of gravity’s pull.

The sloping roof tilted at an angle of 5 degree makes use of the “Stack Effect” a natural phenomenon, to naturally let the Humid Air escape through the Turbo vents placed on the apex of the roof which would reduce the dependency on the mechanical Air ventilation Systems.

The Low ’e’ glass façade maximizes daylight and the student athletes enjoy the comfort of Natural light while swimming. The building accented with aluminum Sun Breakers, Colourful Solid Surface cladding, Profile lighting and latest building material choices is a feat to the philosophy of a future oriented and technologically advanced education facility.
