Can an Auditorium Building Dance?

Our design team investigated into the depths of a Performance-Art building. Articulately located around the open Sports-fields and landscape, setting the stage for the building to be appreciated in relief and openness as the vast sky acts as a dynamic natural Backdrop. We explored what could be made possible with the latest and available construction technology in order to justify the spirit of the Artistic-Performance nestled inside the Audi.

The Parametric Arrangement of Porcelain Clad dominos, create a symphony in structure on the Façade of the building, gracefully opening-up at the entrance, as the orchestra of undulating panels and glass niches allow the dance of natural light and shadows on & inside of the building, creating an Architectural Drama.

With a Composite construction methodology to involve RCC and Cold Steel members and harnessing both Compressive Strength of Concrete and the Flexural Strength of Steel, large column-less spaces in the house were proposed, also, the construction process was mapped out for in-situ and workshop works for optimizing timelines.
